Music Therapy
Music Therapy is the evidence-based use of music activities and exercises to address non-musical goals. These goal areas may include:
- Activities of Daily Living
- Awareness and Cognition
- Motor Skills
- Speech and Communication
Quad Cities Music Therapy provides music therapy services for those with neurological conditions, including Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke rehabilitation, and traumatic brain injury.

Recreational Music
It’s never too late to get started in music, or dust off some long hidden skills! Out recreational programs for seniors are designed to bring joy, and contribute to overall health and wellness. Participate in music through use of:
- Drums
- Piano
- Ukulele
- Singing
No prior music experience is necessary, just a willingness to try something new!

This choir combines the joy of singing with researched backed Neurologic Music Therapy techniques, to support, improve, and maintain speech for everyday life.
Targeted goal areas include:
- Regulating speech volume
- Increasing intelligibility
- Improving articulation
- Enhancing vocal quality
- Strengthening breath control
Parkinson’s Choir Cost: $30/weekly session; *Price includes free access to QCMT’s Senior Singers class on Tuesdays 1:30-2:15pm

In addition to programs at our Moline music center, QCMT may also provide music therapy and recreational services on-site at local senior centers, assisted living centers, and hospices.
